January 2020

Health IMPACT and BYHP members had a great night out to support the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation. The Shamrock Foundation partners with a wide variety of Boston charities and programs to support youth.

As with every BYHP event, attendees from across the industry — providers, biotech, policy, venture capital, consulting and more — met up for networking, apps, and drinks at the Greatest Bar before the game. This is an annual fundraising event for BYHP so stay tuned for the next event.

December 2019

Health IMPACT volunteers spent the afternoon helping Christmas in the City prepare for their annual banquet. Christmas in the City is a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to helping relieve the impact of homelessness and poverty on Boston-area children and their families. Every year they host a Christmas Feast for families to come and celebrate the holidays, visit the Winter Wonderland, and take photos with Santa. BYHP members spent the afternoon helping to decorate placemats for the 6,000+ guests who will attend the feast.

November 2019

Health IMPACT volunteers reunited with Community Servings for their annual Pie in the Sky vent. BYHP members and friends came out to help package, sort and organize some of the tens of thousands of pies which were baked. The Pie in the Sky bake sale helps raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Community Servings’ mission to provide made-from-scratch, medically tailored meals to families living with critical or chronic illnesses throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

September 2019

Health IMPACT volunteers spent the day preparing and serving lunch at St. Francis House, a day shelter in downtown Boston. St. Francis provides a safe and caring environment where poor and homeless men and women can receive basic services, including food, clothing, shelter, and access to medical care. In just one day, St. Francis House makes and serves over 700 meals, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Join us at St. Francis House the next time we help serve the needs of the Boston community.

April 2019

Health IMPACT recently stopped by Room to Grow to help their staff sort, organize, and prepare toys which had been donated to Boston area families. By helping to organize toys, we helped to ensure Room to Grow families have a safe, fun, and positive experience when meeting with staff at the facility. A family’s visit to Room to Grow promotes healthy child development in their meetings with clinicians, alleviates financial stress by enabling them to pick out  donated clothing, toys, and hygiene products, and helps parents to build social support with referrals to community-based resources.

January 2019

Health IMPACT and BYHP members cheered on the Boston Celtics and helped to support their Shamrock Foundation. The Shamrock Foundation allows the Celtrics to support the greater Boston community through programs that directly benefit children in need. Profits from the ticket sales, as well as additional funding raised and donated by BYHP, aides supporting the mission of the Shamrock Foundation. Join us in January 2020 for more fundraising and fun.

November 2018

Health IMPACT team members worked alongside volunteers and Community Servings staff members for their annual Pie in the Sky bake sale. The volunteers helped package and sort just a small portion of the more than 25,000 pies that were baked as part of the event. In total, those pies helped raise more than $750,000 to further Community Servings’ mission. Very impressive!

October 2018

Health IMPACT recently put together a volunteer shift at Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with items they need to thrive at home, at school and at play. BYHP members spent the morning sorting and folding clothes to create outfit packs, which provide a weeks worth of clothing. All totaled, BYHP helped make over 160 outfit packs, and served over 1000 kids in MA. We’re thankful to the BYHP members and guests who came to help support children experiencing homelessness and living in low-income situations.

September 2018

Health IMPACT volunteers spent the day with Greater Boston Food Bank and delivered high-quality, perishable food directly to those in need in under-served communities. In total BYHP volunteers delivered 4,000 pounds of food to 95 low income families! The food was brought in on our refrigerated trucks and set up on tables in the style of a farmer’s market. Those in need ‘shopped’ at each table, choosing from a diverse selection of fresh produce, dairy products, and high-protein items.

May 2018

Health IMPACT volunteers got to spend the afternoon at Boston Health Care for the Homeless, helping to facilitate activities at the Barbara McInnis House, BHCHP’s medical respite facility. BYHP members and non-members spent the afternoon with inpatient residents making arts and crafts, playing pool, and doing karaoke. We’re thankful to the McInnis House staff and residents for allowing us to come and hang out for the afternoon.
